Johnathon Vaughn Strebly is a strategic advisor and facilitator working where design thinking meets organizational leadership. Through JVS Consulting Inc., he partners with executives, senior leaders, business owners, and community advocates on the work that is hardest to get right: clarity of direction, culture, and the governance behind brand strategy and system and service design. These are the structures that allow an organization to grow with integrity.

A Career Built at the Intersection of Leadership and Design. It has never been a straight line, and that is the point. He founded The Notice Group in 2000, led creative services at HCMA Architecture and Design, and served as COO of Tomorrow Creative Services. He was President of the International Council of Design and Chief of Staff for the Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation), and has consulted for Nch'ḵay̓ Development Corporation. That adds up to two decades across boardrooms, community halls, and council chambers.

Leaders call him when the work is complicated, the stakes are high, and a template will not do. Public agencies, Indigenous governments, boards, cultural institutions, and hospitality brands all bring him in for the same reason: clarity of vision. His engagements begin with listening. A Phase 0 discovery asks the tough questions before anyone commits to answers, and facilitated work then brings competing interests to shared ground. Meaningful work for well-meaning people.

His principle is simple: step up, then step aside. Create the conditions for collective clarity, then get out of the way. Structure without rigidity. Direction without dominance. It is why organizations keep calling him back: the work holds, and so does the trust.
